VCGS Guitar Ensemble
The VCGS Guitar Ensemble launches its spring session on February 9th, 2025 under the direction of Michael Kolk, one of Canada’s finest classical guitarists.
Now in its 4th year, the ensemble is open to a maximum of 16 adults of all skill levels interested in playing guitar with others. If you’re interested in joining the ensemble, complete the form below.
Participants must be VCGS members and have the ability to read music. A fee of $145 is charged to help cover VCGS expenses in organizing the ensemble.
Each session involves seven rehearsals that take place every other Sunday morning culminating in a ensemble concert featuring the entire ensemble plus solo, duo and trio performances. Our locations are:
Rehearsals at Kokoro Dance/ KW Studios
236 - 111 Hastings St W, Vancouver, BC, V6B 1H4
with the concert taking place at Pacific Spirit United Church, 2195 West 45th Avenue, Vancouver.

Rehearsal Schedule & Location Feb-May 2025
Rehearsals will happen bi-weekly on Sundays from 10:45 - 12:15.
Please arrive at 10:30 to tune-up and get settled.
You’ll need to bring your own music stand as the venue no longer provides them.

The first performance of the VCGS Amateur ensemble. This group started rehearsing in late August 2021 and this is their first public performance.
