OKANAGAN GUITAR FESTIVAL

THE 3RD ANNUAL OKANAGAN GUITAR FESTIVAL IS A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY FOR GUITARISTS AND MUSIC LOVERS TO IMMERSE THEMSELVES IN FOUR DAYS OF CONCERTS, MASTERCLASSES AND WORKSHOPS IN KELOWNA FROM JULY 4-7.
The 2024 festival features three outstanding concerts headlined by festival faculty Daniel Bolshoy, Iliana Matos, Alec Pearson, Philip Hansen (cello) and the Western Canadian Guitar Quartet.
Develop your guitar skills with top tier, world-leading experts. This year’s faculty includes Daniel Bolshoy, a senior lecturer in the Hugh Hodgson School of Music at the University of Georgia, Iliana Matos, a guest lecturer and the President and Artistic Director of the Lethbridge Classical Guitar Society, Alec Pearson, festival founder and a sessional instructor of guitar at the University of British Columbia and Philip Hansen, a founder and Artistic Director of the Quadra Island Festival of Chamber Music.
VENUE : The concerts will be held at the Cathedral Church of St. Michael and All Angels (608 Sutherland Ave, Kelowna) with the masterclasses and workshops at UBC Okanagan (3333 University Way, Kelowna).
IMPORTANT DATES:
Early Bird Registration ends on June 7th.
Room holds at UBCO end June 2nd. Rooms are assigned on a first-come first served basis.
Registrations are refundable until June 27th. After June 27th refunds will be subject to a 20% penalty.
2 MASTERCLASSES REGISTRATION: $280 CAD* (before June 7th)
$320 CAD (after June 7th)
1 on-1 participation in two masterclasses (can be substituted for a private lesson if the student is very stage shy).
Access to all workshops/lectures & concerts. NEW THIS YEAR - a parent or family member may attend with the registree and audit for free.
1 ticket to each concert event. This applies to the registrant only, family and friends should purchase tickets to the concerts they wish to attend.
1 MASTERCLASS REGISTRATION: $200 CAD* (before June 7th)
$230 CAD (after June 7th)
Perform in one masterclass (can be substituted for a private lesson if the student is very stage shy).
Access to all workshops/lectures & concerts. NEW THIS YEAR - a parent or family member may attend with the registree and audit for free.
1 ticket to each concert event. This applies to the registrant only, family and friends should purchase tickets to the concerts they wish to attend
Additional Class: $80 per (must be registered for 2 classes).
Audit + Concert Pass: General admission: $70, Senior/Student/Youth admission: $50
1 ticket to each concert event (3 for the price of 2).
